Global Study Says Corrected Vision Impairment Could Prevent Billions of Dollars in Lost Productivity Each Year
In the first study of its kind published in the Bulletin of the World Health Organization, researchers have found that corrected vision impairment could prevent billions of dollars in lost productivity each year. The study estimates that nearly 158 million people on a global scale suffer from vision impairment resulting from uncorrected refractive error, which can usually be corrected with a pair of eyeglasses and an eye examination.
