TX: Insurance Council of Texas Announces Dates for 2009 Workers’ Compensation Fall Seminar
The Insurance Council of Texas will host the 2009 Workers’ Compensation Fall Seminar – Into the Jungle: Understanding the Texas Workers’ Compensation System, which will cover the latest developments that impact the workers’ compensation system in Texas. The seminars will be conducted at the Marriot Austin Airport in Austin on Thursday, November 5, and at the Crown Plaza – near the Galleria in Addison, Texas, on the following Wednesday, November 11.
The full day seminars are expected to be approved for 8 continuing education hours for adjusters by the Texas Department of Insurance and 6.75 continuing legal education hours for attorneys by the Texas State Bar and Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Approval is also being sought for continuing education hours for certified case managers.
Stuart Colburn of Downs & Stanford will be providing seminar attendees with an overview of dispute resolution in the Texas workers’ compensation system, and the seminars will feature recognized experts with presentations examining changes and proposals confronting the industry.
