PROVIDENCE, RI - The Providence Journal reports that in the aftermath of a state audit revealing that Resource Recovery Corporation squandered $75 million over the past decade through waste and mismanagement, flawed construction project, questionable land deals, cronyism, suspected fraud, apparent bid rigging, bogus workers' compensation claims, and phony overtime scams, General Treasurer Frank T. Caprio has announced that he wants to start collecting on the insurance policies that the trash agency bought to cover potential liability of its officers, directors and others.
