More Frequent, Bigger Wildfires Could Become Major Risk, Report Says
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Citing a report from A.M. Best, the San Diego Union-Tribune stated July 22 that larger and more frequent wildfires such as the blazes last fall in San Diego County could lead to escalating homeowners’ insurance claims for years to come. The Best report stated that catastrophic wildfires are rising on the radar screens of insurers as a potential major risk, along with hurricanes, tornados and earthquakes. Full version available here.
