New York to Hold Hearings on Broker Pay
NEW YORK – (Business Insurance) The New York State Insurance Department said July 1 that it will hold a series of public hearings in conjunction with the State’s Office of the Attorney General on the issue of compensation arrangements for insurance agents and brokers. The hearings will cover topics such as contingent and supplemental commissions, producer compensation disclosure and potential deceptive or anticompetitive practices. Full version available here.
