About the Authors

Donald S. Chisum was Professor of Law at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California from 1997 to 2006. He was the Inez Mabie Professor of Law at Santa Clara University from 2001 to 2006. He received his A.B. degree in 1966 and his law degree in 1968, both from Stanford University. He was Professor of Law at the University of Washington from 1969 to 1996. He is the author of the authoritative twenty-six volume reference text on patent law, Chisum on Patents, which he continually supplements and revises.
