Chapter 17, Franchising and Business Opportunities, has been revised and updated to reflect significant new developments as a matter of federal law that directly impact franchise and business opportunity regulation at the state level.  In those states that regulate franchises and business opportunities it is most often accomplished through franchise “investment” laws that parallel state securities laws, and are in fact administered by state securities administrators.
