Alice Joseffer is a member of the Hodgson Russ, LLP Federal/International Tax Practice Group, International/Cross-Border Practice Group, and Tax Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Ms. Joseffer regularly counsels clients on tax issues related to all types of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, executive compensation arrangements, and personal income and estate planning for business executives and their families. She advises international clients on cross-border structuring, tax issues involved in compensation and the relocations of executives, and tax implications of U.S. citizenship and lawful permanent resident status. Ms. Joseffer regularly represents clients with tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service.
Ms. Joseffer regularly contributes articles to business and legal publications on tax dispute resolution and cross-border tax issues. She regularly speaks on tax issues before professional organizations in both the United States and Canada.
Ms. Joseffer is a member of the American, New York State, Florida, and Erie County Bar Associations. She is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the American Bar Association and Erie County Bar Association Tax Sections. She is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
