About the Authors

Richard C. Kissiah is the Managing Partner of the law firm of Kissiah & Lay, where he practices almost exclusively in the field of workers' compensation law. the firm is located in Alpharetta (a suburb of Atlanta). Mr. Kissiah is a member of the Atlanta and Georgia Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute. He was the chairman of the Atlanta Bar Association's Workers' Comensation Section in 1993-1994 and is presently on the board of directors for the Atlanta Medical Association's Medical-Legal Committee. He has also been an author and lecturer on the subject of Georgia workers' compensation law for the Atlanta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the State Board of Workers' Compensation, and numerous chambers of commerce and employer associations. He is an attorney-instructor for the Certified Workers' Compensation Professional (CWCP) program. He is the author of Kissiah's Georgia Workers' Compensation Law (LexisNexis Matthew Bender) and also a member of the LexisNexis National Workers' Compensation Advisory Board.
