About the Authors Steven J. EagleProfessor of Law, George Mason University School of Law
Steven J. Eagle is a professor of law at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, where he teaches property law, land use regulation, and constitutional law.
The third edition of his treatise Regulatory Takings was published in 2005 by Lexis Publishing. Professor Eagle also is the author of numerous other scholarly and popular works on land use regulation and property rights. He frequently lectures in continuing legal education programs. He also is vice-chair of the Land Use and Environmental Group of the Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law of the American Bar Association, and co-chairs the Condemnation Committee of the Section of State and Local Government of the ABA. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute.
Professor Eagle studied economics at the City College of New York and is a graduate of Yale Law School. He has taught at the law schools of Vanderbilt University, Pace University, and the University of Toledo.
