Steven M. Dickinson & Daniel P. HarrisManaging Members, Harris & Moure
Steven M. Dickinson is a managing member of Harris & Moure (www.harrismoure.com), based in Shanghai, China. Most of Mr. Dickinson’s professional and intellectual pursuits have been focused on China. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Washington with a degree in Chinese Language and Literature and obtained his JD degree, with honors, from the University of Washington, where he was the Articles Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Dickinson writes extensively on Chinese law and is a frequent contributor to such magazines as China Economic Review and China International Business. He also frequently appears on CCTV and National Public Radio speaking on China law topics. From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Dickinson taught at the University of Washington School of Law where he was Assistant Professor of International Contract Negotiation and also directed the training program for China legal professionals. He has also lectured on law (in Chinese) at Beijing University School of Law and he was the first attorney invited to teach in China by an independent Bar Association. In addition to complete Mandarin fluency, Mr. Dickinson also speaks and reads Japanese and can read Sanskrit and Tibetan. Mr. Dickinson was recently chosen by Washington CEO Magazine as one of Washington State's "5 Most Amazing Attorneys." He focuses his practice on assisting foreign companies with their legal issues in China. Mr. Dickinson is co-author of the award winning China Law Blog (www.chinalawblog.com).
Daniel P. Harris is a managing member of Harris & Moure (www.harrismoure.com), based in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Harris received his B.A. from Grinnell College and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University, where he was Managing Editor of the Law Review. Mr. Harris writes and speaks extensively on Chinese law, with a focus on protecting foreign businesses in their China operations. His articles have been published by the Wall Street Journal, The National Law Journal, The ABA Journal, and the China Trade Report, among others. Mr. Harris has also appeared on many television news programs discussing international law. Within the past year he has been quoted in Forbes, Fortune, Christian Science Monitor, National Law Journal, ABA Journal, and others, on China law issues. He is co-author of the award winning China Law Blog (www.chinalawblog.com).
