LexisNexis is pleased to announce the May 2009 release of a new publication, Cleary Gottlieb Antitrust Developments in Europe. It is essentially a case law yearbook of major antitrust-competition cases and developments in Europe. This year’s edition looks at the major developments that took place in 2008, such as the Sony/BMG and Google/Doubleclick merger cases.
The structure of the new publication will remain as in previous editions. Part I provides an overview of EC Competition Law developments, while Part II summarizes key national Competition Law developments like the Belgian Supreme Court’s clarification of the right of access to file merger cases or how France’s Competition Council imposed a record fine on the steel manufacturer cartel. Both sections are further subdivided by substantive topic area and jurisdiction.
Cleary Gottlieb Antitrust Developments in Europe will come out once a year, preferably around April or early May of each year. Its paperback format makes it ideal to throw into a briefcase and makes for easy annotation and note-taking while in court, at your desk, or on the train ride.
Coming soon – the CD-ROM version of the book, containing links to some of these cases and other developments.
