Federal Benefits

Extensive information on compensation and pension benefits for disabled vets and their dependents, as well as the expansion and improvement of the benefits and services the federal government provides veterans nationwide.

Disability

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs administers a wide range of benefits for veterans, including compensation and pension benefits for disabled veterans and their dependents. The law on the topic of VA benefits is extensive, from Veterans’ Rights & Benefits Statutes (USCS Title 38) and regulations, to decisions of the Board of Veterans Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, through additional judicial review at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit or U.S. Supreme Court.

Of particular importance to veterans’ claims for benefits is the assessment of injuries and illnesses such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Additional Benefits

Congress continues to be active in expanding and improving the benefits and services the federal government provides veterans across the nation. On July 27, 2009 the House of Representatives passed new legislation for veterans and their families.
