Owner of Sports Grille Pleads Guilty to Five Counts of Workers’ Comp Fraud (OH) – Sean C. Pregibon, owner of the Youngstown Sports Grille, pleaded guilty to five counts of workers’ compensation fraud, for failing to secure workers’ compensation coverage. Read more
Danielson Man Charged With Workers’ Comp Fraud and Perjury (CT) – Dwayne Wiggins was arrested and charged with workers’ compensation fraud and perjury for allegedly collecting workers’ compensation wages while working and then lying about it in court. Read more
Former Nursing Aide Charged With Workers’ Comp Fraud (NY) – Marlon G. Holt was arrested on multiple workers’ compensation fraud charges for allegedly returning to work after saying he injured his lower back and couldn’t return to work and for collecting benefits while employed following his injury. Suffolk Woman Charged in $130,000 Workers’ Comp Fraud (NY) – Carol Mitchell was arrested for workers’ compensation fraud stemming from a case in which she collected $130,000 by allegedly falsely claiming she was unable to work. Read more
Building Contractor Hit With Workers’ Comp Fraud Charges (NY) – Robert Decker, doing business as Bull Rock Development, Inc., was arrested on felony workers’ compensation fraud charges for allegedly making false statements on an application for a workers’ compensation insurance policy with NYSIF. He allegedly failed to divulge that he owed NYSIF $1,732 on a cancelled policy when he operated under another business name, RD Builders. Read more
Kinloch Mayor Charged With Failing to Secure Workers’ Comp Insurance (MO) –The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations has filed a misdemeanor charge against Kinloch Mayor Keith Conway, accusing him of violating a statute requiring liability and workers compensation insurance. Roofing Contractor Sentenced for Failure to Secure Workers’ Comp Insurance and Various Other Felonies and Misdemeanors (MT) – Anthony “Tony” Jackson Summerlin, a roofing and concrete contractor who pleaded guilty to various felony and misdemeanor charges, which included failure to secure workers’ compensation insurance for his employees, was ordered to pay restitution and write letters of apology to the victims.
