IL: Cook County Approves Settlement of Custodian's Workers' Comp Claim for "Toilet Paper Injury"

COOK COUNTY, IL - The Chicago Sun-Times reports that, in a settlement reached Wednesday, "Cook County taxpayers will write a $14,022 check to a custodian who claims she twice injured her back by 'reaching around to pick up a piece of toilet paper'." County Commissioner Bridget Gainer questioned whether the claim is excessive, but claimed she "didn't know anything about the custodian's case".
