Methodology: In a January-February 2020 study by LexisNexis, researchers entered two searches (breach of contract and employment) in Westlaw® Edge state and federal cases then recorded available KeyCite flags of the first 1,000 cases. Researchers then recorded the Shepard’s SignalTM indicators for the same 1,000 cases from Lexis. Only 27.2% of the cases had KeyCite flags, while the same cases in Lexis found flags on 94.4%.
