The Rule of Law Resource Center is the single largest, most credible and authoritative collection of Rule of Law resources on the internet – providing visitors with the most applicable and up-to-date laws, news and expert analysis on Rule of Law issues from around the world. We believe the Rule of Law Resource Center will quickly become the premier online community for sharing information, ideas and best practices about the Rule of Law.
 
The Rule of Law is the concept that a functioning society needs an accessible, independent and transparent legal system, along with a set of laws that everyone, including the government, follows.
 
Many people don’t make the connection between the Rule of Law and day-to-day essentials such as health, safety, shelter, employment, education, and family. Where the Rule of Law is strong these essentials are often taken for granted. Where the Rule of Law is weak, these essentials are often absent and suffocating poverty, debilitating illness, human rights violations, and government corruption stand in their place. 
 
For that reason I would like to invite doctors, educators, mental health professionals, scientists, members of the clergy and leaders from both the public and private sectors to join the lawyers and advocates using these resources. An absence of the Rule of Law is a systemic issue, and it will take the best minds from all our social sciences to create systemic Rule of Law solutions based on local cultures and histories.
