DLA Piper completes fifth IPO project in Hong Kong
DLA Piper announced it advised on two more IPOs listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) this year.

DLA Piper today announced it advised on two more IPOs listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) this year: Peak Sports Products Co., Ltd. ("Peak Sports") on 29 September (HKSE: 1968) and Shenguan Holdings ("Shenguan") on 13 October (HKSE: 829), marking the firm's fourth and fifth successful IPO projects on the main board of the HKSE this year.

Peak Sports, a Chinese sportswear company, raised HK$1.7 billion through its IPO. It is the second sportswear company to be listed on the HKSE this year. Joint sponsors were Credit Suisse (Hong Kong) Ltd. and CCB International Capital Ltd. DLA Piper advised Peak Sports on Hong Kong and U.S. laws. Esther Leung, Head of Capital Markets, HK, and Stephen Peepels, Head of US Capital Markets, Asia led the deal with their execution team including Eugene Choi, Thomas Ng, Richard Lee, Albert Chau and Minxia Gu, all from DLA Piper's Hong Kong office.

Shenguan, a Chinese producer of edible sausage casings, successfully raised HK$1.24 billion through its IPO. DLA Piper advised joint sponsors, Macquarie Capital Securities Ltd. and China Merchants Securities (HK) Co., Ltd. Jeffrey Mak, Partner and Stephen Peepels led the deal with their execution team including Thomas Ng, Emen Cheng, Julia Zhu, Albert Chau and Freda Wong, all from DLA Piper's Hong Kong office.

Esther Leung, who leads the Hong Kong capital markets team, said, "The five IPO projects on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange completed by our team this year are important achievements for us and our clients. While some sectors such as industrials, materials and technology are more likely to see uplift, the success of Peak Sports and Shenguan show that, regardless of sector, dynamic companies with sound business models can also tap opportunities at this time."
