Baker & McKenzie wins New Energy and New Carbon Finance Awards
Baker & McKenzie's global climate change practice has been awarded Top Legal Advisor to Clean Development Mechanism and Joint Implementation Projects by New Energy and New Carbon Finance.

Baker & McKenzie's global climate change practice has been awarded Top Legal Advisor to Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) Projects by New Energy and New Carbon Finance. This is the second year running that the award has been presented, and Baker & McKenzie has won the award in both years.

The New Energy and New Carbon Finance award recognises the global leadership of
Baker & McKenzie in advising on CDM and JI projects. These awards come on the back of the global climate change practice winning three awards from Environmental Finance – Best Law Firm for GHG Emissions Kyoto Projects Credits (JI and CDM), Best Law Firm for GHG Emissions Voluntary Markets and Best Law Firm for GHG Emissions Australasian Markets.

Chambers Global has also announced that Baker & McKenzie remains the First Tier firm for global climate change law.

Speaking about the awards, the head of Baker & McKenzie's global climate change practice, Martijn Wilder, commented, "This is a wonderful endorsement of our highly experienced global team which we have built over the last ten years. We are grateful that we have been able to work with so many different clients around the world."
