CPA Global, the world’s leading provider of intellectual property (IP) management services and outsourced legal support, is targeting further expansion in Asia, with a particular focus on the growing China market.
The company, which already has a significant presence in India and successful business alliances in Japan and Korea, today announced the opening of a new Hong Kong office to spearhead its business development in North and South East Asia.
The Hong Kong office is headed by Joanne Hon, CPA Global’s Head of Business Development for North and South East Asia. Ms Hon’s initial focus will be on business development in Hong Kong, China and other key Asian markets such as Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. CPA Global’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Sewell, said: “Having a presence in Hong Kong provides CPA Global with an important gateway to Asia and the huge potential of the mainland China market, which is experiencing robust growth in intellectual property activity in line with the country's phenomenal economic development.” Added Joanne Hon: “There is a wealth of opportunity for CPA Global in Asia. Our Hong Kong office will help us better serve the needs of our clients who are already operating in the region, while, at the same time, bring our expertise and quality service to a whole new range of companies and organisations that are based throughout North and South East Asia.”
