Orrick advises on HK$1.58 billion Hong Kong IPO and global offering for Shengli Oil & Gas Pipe
Orrick has advised Shengli Oil & Gas Pipe Holdings Limited (Shengli) in its HK$1.58 billion (US$204 million) initial public offering on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP (Orrick) has advised Shengli Oil & Gas Pipe Holdings Limited (Shengli) in its HK$1.58 billion (US$204 million) initial public offering on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, including a global placement under Rule 144A/Regulation S. Macquarie Capital Securities Limited acted as sole global coordinator, bookrunner, sponsor and lead manager. The listing took place on December 18, 2009.

As one of the largest oil and gas line pipe manufacturers in the PRC, Shengli supplies spiral submerged arc welded (SSAW) pipes to China's largest oil and gas companies. Shengli's products, which are used to transport crude oil, refined petroleum products and natural gas, have been installed in pipeline projects in China as well as pipeline projects running through Central Asia and Africa.

Edwin Luk, head of Orrick's Asia Corporate Group, and Mark Lee, Corporate partner, led a team of capital markets lawyers from Orrick's Hong Kong and Shanghai offices, to advise on the global offering.
