§ CS12.11 Conversion from Chapter 13 to Chapter 7
 
[1] Requirements
 
A chapter 13 case shall be converted without court order on the filing by the debtor of a notice of conversion pursuant to § 1307(a). See Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 1017(f)(3). Conversion occurs on the filing of the notice. See 1993 Advisory Committee Note to the rule. Bankruptcy Fed. R. Bankr. P. 1017 makes it clear that the date of the filing of a notice of conversion in a case under chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code is treated as . . . .
