Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services Presents Adams Pro Bono Publico Awards

The Massachusetts Court System issued the following news release:

On behalf of the Supreme Judicial Court's Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services, Supreme Judicial Court Justice Francis X. Spina presented the eighth annual John Adams and John Quincy Adams Pro Bono Publico Awards to three recipients for their outstanding commitment in providing volunteer legal services for poor and disadvantaged citizens in Massachusetts.

Justice Spina presented awards to Attorney Andrew P. Cornell, a solo practitioner in Cambridge, Attorney Justin H. Dion, of the Springfield office of Bacon Wilson, P.C., and Attorney Margaret M. Pinkham, a former partner in the Boston firm of Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels L.L.P.

Established in 1999, the Supreme Judicial Court's Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services promotes volunteer legal work in Massachusetts to help people of limited means in need of legal representation. The Committee has presented the awards annually to lawyers and legal organizations since 2002.
